Now it says it comes with a 2 year warranty, but I'm not sure that means much because finding parts may be difficult because this reel doesn't seem to be too popular yet.Also If I had to ship it to get warranty service it would cost $50 because it weights 50lbs.However it appears to be built well enough that the warranty shouldn't come into play.I hope to be around to update this in a few years and let you know.

a light duty reel thats easy to mount any where, I built a flat dolly and mounted the reel next to my compressor that is on the same dolly. When not in use it fits under one of my work benches ready to go where ever I need it. No hunting for the hose or looking for a place to store it works good for me.
I was looking for an inexpensive hose reel for my home shop.This was the most afordable one I could find on-line.It works just great.
I'd thought I'd try these(the 65' and 35') because at their price, if they're any good at all, they represent a good alternative to the pricier Coilhose and PUR-Hose models. That, plus I liked the included swivel fittings. After two weeks of heavy use, I'm very pleased. No problems of any type. Since they're available locally through Northern Tool, I'll be buying more. Do note however that fittings differ from norm so you might have to buy additional connectors.
Nice construction but it has fittings for 1/2 inch hose.It does fit 100 yards of 3/8 inch hose, however.Just need to buy converters for 1/2 to 3/8, about $10.So along with $17 shipping total cost is $77.
Reelcraft makes the best hose reels I have ever used, they are well made and long lasting (I have two that I have used for 20 years).The 7850 OLP 1/2 inch is the most popular size and length for shop use.At a weight of 52 pounds you will need to fasten to a stud or backing.I prefer the ceiling instalation with 2x12 backing. Unreeling most of the hose makes it lighter to install, and then a tug on the hose and it reels itself up. Requires a two-person install, one to hold it and one to install the fasteners.Pre-drill pilot holes for large lag screws. I recommend using a Parker HF-251-6-FP (automatic) coupling on the end (for those using Industrial Interchange style quick disconnects).
